In a move that will put every other man on this planet’s gift ideas to shame, a Long Island, New York, man hired the designers who built Carrie Bradshaw’s dream closet in the first Sex and the City movie to replicate that closet for his wife — except bigger.
The closet is edged in mirrored glass, just like in the movie, and it holds 400-plus pairs of shoes — more than the original closet did. Clothes can be organized by label. The New York Post reports:
Before building the closet, [designers Lisa] Marks and [Lydia] Frantz had measured and inventoried every item of the client’s wardrobe to create an individual space for it.
“Sunglasses have their own drawers with specially sized compartments, and even the vanity was designed to accommodate specific hair dryers, curling irons and flat irons,” Marks said.
The closet cost $175,000 to build.
I didn’t think it was possible to swoon over a closet, but I am swooning!
