Ending months of speculation, Jessica Simpson, 31, announced in a statement on her website that she is, indeed, pregnant. The dad is her footballer fiancé, Eric Johnson, 32.
“It’s True! I am going to be a mummy!” she wrote, next to a picture of her dressed in a mummy costume for Halloween.
The pair has been dating since May 2010. Simpson’s first marriage, to boy band member Nick Lachey, 37, lasted for about four years, from 2002 to 2006. Simpson’s clothing and accessories line is expected to net a total of $1 billion this year alone.
