Forget cleavage and miniskirts (although those probably help too): If you’re looking to signal to a guy you’re ready for sex, wear red. A recent study found that guys perceive women to be more sexually interested in them if they’re wearing the rosy hue than another color.
University of Rochester researchers calculated their findings this way:
For their study, scientists showed men a pic of a woman wearing a red T-shirt, and another of her wearing a white T-shirt. Both photos were identical except for the color of the shirt, which they doctored.
Researchers then asked the men to guess on a scale of one to nine how interested the woman seemed to be in sex. The result? The majority of guys said the woman in red was one to 1.5 points more likely to be open to getting busy.
And here we thought that green was the lucky color.
