Depending on your age, is the best sex of your life still ahead of you, or behind you? A new British survey from sex toy company Lovehoney says women’s sexual prime (meaning their best sexual experiences ever) tends to hit around 28, and men’s at about 33. Conversely, women tend to have the most sex at 25, men at 28, the company says.
Needless to say, the poll of 1,281 Brits isn’t exactly rock-hard science (so to speak), but it’s food for thought. Relationship expert Tracey Cox gave this quote to the Daily Mail:
“Like most things, sex gets better the more you do it and the more practised you are at it… So it makes sense for men to be having better sex at 33 rather than 18. It takes time to learn how to control their orgasms and to fathom the complex female sexual system. This reinforces what we’ve always known: it’s not about quantity, it is about quality.”
Obviously, every person is different. Someone who has complete sexual confidence at 20 isn’t going to have the same sexual-satisfaction trajectory as someone who takes until age 40 to find the right way to ask for what she wants (or the right partner, for that matter).
