Is there anything that feels more illicit than getting down and dirty in a pristine hotel room, crisp sheets, new toiletries and all? We were inspired by a brand-new work of erotica, Suite Encounters: Hotel Sex Stories, edited by Rachel Kramer Bussel, and a few of our own travels for this week’s challenge.
Even if you don’t have the funds for a night’s stay in an inn, you can recreate the feeling of a sultry day away with these simple items:
• Two mini water bottles by the bed. Hopefully, you’ll soon be parched.
• Clean white sheets. Splurge with Frette or save with Martha Stewart.
• A tray with a few artfully placed minis on it. Maybe a half-bottle of champagne with two flutes or mini bottles of Kanon Vodka or Bombay Gin plus mixers and a couple of highball glasses to mix up your favorite cocktails.
• Move your flatscreen to the bedroom (but only temporarily!). Position it so you can watch a sexy movie while doing the deed.
• Two bathrobes and a new bar of soap. Treat yourself to a post-romp soak with a luxurious beauty bar from a unique brand like L’Occitane or Sabon.
