In case you had forgotten, the Vatican doesn’t take kindly to books that speak well of masturbation and homosexuality. U.S. nun and Yale professor Sister Margaret Farley was censured by the Vatican Monday due to her book, Just Love: A Framework for Christian Sexual Ethics.
The viewpoints on hot-button issues in the book that the church contests include masturbation, homosexuality, remarriage after divorce, and gay marriage. The book has been banned from Catholic schools.
Ms. magazine reports: “In her text, Farley writes that masturbation is not necessarily harmful to relationships and that homosexual people and acts should be respected.”
The church says the book promotes a “defective understanding of the objective nature of natural moral law.”
Love and tolerance: What a blasphemous idea.
We stand with Sister Farley.
