Power to the people! The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health is encouraging residents to submit their designs for official L.A. condoms that the department will dole out for free. The concept is similar to the LifeStyles NYC Condom that the Big Apple released in 2007 and updated with another design via a contest in 2010.
Aspiring condom designers can upload their art to the “L.A.’s Next Sex Symbol” contest’s website. Judges including gossip maven Perez Hilton and internet personality Julia Allison of Bravo’s upcoming reality show Miss Advised will select the 50 finalists, and the public will vote on the final 10, which will be printed by ONE Condoms for a year — for a grand total of a million and one condoms. That’s a lot of safe sex — we love it!
