We reported this week that more than a third of single women would give up sex for a year for their favorite food — and often that food was chocolate. Thankfully, this isn’t Bizarro Poll Land, so we don’t have to choose one or the other. Why not combine the two? Thus begins this weekend’s sex challenge:
Incorporate chocolate into your sex routine.
No need to put plastic down on the sheets — you don’t have to drizzle each other with Hershey’s Syrup (unless you want to, and if so, we say go for it!). Here are a few ideas on how to introduce the humble cocoa bean into your boudoir (optional soundtrack: “Sex and Candy” by Marcy Playground):
1. Share a warm chocolate dessert before hitting the sack.
Molten chocolate cake is always a sexy, delicious choice for setting the mood (even if you’re at Applebee’s). You can even make your own using simple ramekins. Or keep it simple and feed each other a couple of squares of the gourmet stuff from a brand like Green & Black’s or Scharffen Berger. Watching the rich chocolate melt just might just encourage your body to do the same.
2. Try out a Lover’s Body Paint set from Kama Sutra.
It’s nice to have options when it comes to dessert. This cute kit, stocked with a jar of edible “body paint” and a paintbrush, comes in three flavors: Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate Raspberry, and Rich Caramel. Grab one for $12 each here or on Amazon. (Fair warning: It probably won’t taste exactly like pure chocolate, so you might want to stick with a jar of Hershey’s Hot Fudge Topping from the grocery store.)
3. Sign your partner’s body with a Chocolate Body Pen.
There’s nothing like sex to bring out your inner Hemingway (or should we say Anaïs Nin?). Write your heart out with a Chocolate Body Pen for $10 from GoodVibes.com — you might need to heat the utensil up with a cup of hot water before you make your mark so the “ink” flows smoothly.
Have a sweet and delicious weekend!
