Aw, and here we had our hopes up. Last week, news spread on the internet that Ryan Gosling was slated to play Christian Grey in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey movie, but it’s only a rumor, says Grey author E.L. James. We knew it was too good to be true!
Tongues started wagging when E.L. James’s husband, Niall Leonard, reportedly told U.K. magazine Now that Gosling was the frontrunner for the role. However, on Friday, James tweeted, “All rumour at the moment *rolls eyes* : )”
Which means there’s still a chance that we’ll get to see the Gos engaged in some subversvive sexual behavior… If not, though, we’re holding out hope that Michael Fassbender will slip into Christian Grey’s suits on the big screen.
