We already knew that men tend to say those three little words first — a study from MIT discovered that last year — but now, thanks to a survey of 800,000 WhatsYourPrice.com members, we know where an “I love you” is bound to happen. No surprise here: Dudes are most likely to say it in the bedroom.
It doesn’t take a genius to guess exactly what prompts that major declaration, yes? But let’s just say that no nookie is happening — if that’s the case, men are likely to drop the L bomb via text or phone call. Here are the site’s findings:
Men first say “I love you” at an average of six weeks into the relationship.
· 81 percent of men first said “I love you” in a private setting, such as the bedroom.
· 11 percent of men first said “I love you” over the phone via call or text.
· 8 percent of men first said “I love you” in a public setting, such as a restaurant.Women first say “I love you” at an average of eight weeks into the relationship.
· 67 percent of women first said “I love you” over the phone via call or text.
· 30 percent of women first said “I love you” in a private setting, such as the bedroom.
· 3 percent of women first said “I love you” in a public setting, such as a restaurant.
Ladies, such restraint! But then again, this is WhatsYourPrice.com, where members bid on first dates, so the women responding might be professional maneaters in more ways than one.
