The Susan G. Komen Foundation has asked Pornhub to stop using its name in the site’s “Save the Boobs” campaign to raise money for breast cancer awareness and research, leaving the adult site to search for a new beneficiary for the cash.
Says Pornhub:
Unfortunately, we have had to change our targeted beneficiary. As such, Pornhub.com is now calling on all breast cancer foundations to come forward and be considered as the recipient of this cash donation.
Throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Pornhub.com will donate 1 cent for every 30 views of its “Small Tits” and “Big Tits” videos, meaning the more boobs that are viewed, the more money the site will rack up for the tireless quest for a cure. With millions of page visits per month, the amount is expected to be significant.
The language in the original Pornhub press release was…salty, to say the least:
It doesn’t matter if you’re into itty-bitty-titties, the perfect handful, jumbo fun-bags, or low-swinging flapjacks, what matters most is that your kind and selfless gesture will go a long way towards helping our sisters to find a cure.
Ahem. As for the Komen Foundation, this is what they had to say about the situation, reports the Huffington Post:
“Susan G. Komen for the Cure is not a partner of pornhub.com. We will not accept donations from this organization and have asked them to stop using our name.”
Oof. Awkward. Hopefully another needy charity will come forward soon to claim the cash. Ill-gotten gains? Maybe. But gains nonetheless. And a big publicity win for Pornhub, who last year put former Charlie Sheen goddess/porn star Bree Olson on a tour bus that offered free breast exams from a board-certified MD inside.
