We apologize in advance for the highly hummable earworm that will probably stay with you for at least a couple of days, but we had to share this cuter-than-cute breakup video by musician couple Jonathan Mann and Ivory King who, after five years together, made the call to split up because he wants kids and she doesn’t. They decided to announce it to their friends — how else? — in song. Watch below:
Here’s what Jonathan says: “Yes, it’s true folks. Ivory and I are splitting up. It’s really sad. I’m really sad. I think you may have been able to tell in some recent songs. It’s going to be a hard road ahead for me, but I know that this is the right decision and that eventually we’ll both be happier in the end.”
Mock the video if you will (others have), but this tune is catchy, and we kinda love it. Talk about a mature way to deal with a breakup.
