Valentine’s Day Cocktails: A Sweet Surprise

Even if you’re not a whiz in the kitchen, you can still surprise your main squeeze with a special drink this Valentine’s Day. Here are a few creative recipes for fancy beverages to set the mood. (One involves a chocolate garnish, which is always a win in our book.)

Grand Cerise Surprise

1 1/2 oz Grand Marnier Cherry

3/4 oz dark aged rum

1 oz milk

1/4 oz simple syrup

Pour Grand Marnier Cherry, dark aged rum, milk and simple syrup into a shaker filled with ice. Shake well and strain into an ice-filled rocks glass. Garnish with dark chocolate shavings.

KAPPA Kiss

2 oz KAPPA Pisco

1 oz lemon juice

1 oz simple syrup

1 egg white

10 blueberries

In a shaker, muddle blueberries with simple syrup. Fill the shaker with ice, add KAPPA Pisco and remaining ingredients. Shake vigorously and strain into a small champagne or martini glass.

Love Me Cherry

2 oz Three Olives Cherry Vodka

1 oz orange liqueur

Splash of grenadine

Splash of cranberry juice

Maraschino cherry for garnish

Combine all ingredients in a shaker and shake vigorously. Pour over ice into a cocktail glass and garnish with a maraschino cherry.

Berry Sweetheart

2 oz Three Olives Berry Vodka

½ oz strawberry liqueur

Splash of cranberry juice

Splash of champagne

Strawberry for garnish

Place a fresh strawberry at the bottom of a champagne glass. Combine vodka, strawberry liqueur, and cranberry juice in a shaker filled with ice & shake vigorously. Pour into the champagne glass and top off with a splash of champagne.
