Whether or not you’re a geographical target of this weekend’s history-making blizzard, chilly weather is the ideal opportunity to hole up at home together and make some sexy February magic happen.
Rather than surrendering to reruns of Sex and the City and packets of ramen noodles, this weekend, plan your together time with a hotel theme. Think about all of the amenities you look forward to on a trip — room service, little glass Cokes from the mini-bar, sneaking a naughty flick — and recreate them in your own casa. Here are a few ways to hotel-ize your pad this wintry weekend:
Make your bed. First: deep-clean and de-clutter your home in general, until it seems AirBNB-ready. The critical step to upgrading your place is having crisp white sheets. So if it’s been a week since you’ve done your laundry, wash and iron your bed things until they feel crisp and new. They’ll be plenty of time to dirty your sheets later.
Draw a bubble bath. After you’ve cleaned your bathtub, grab some bath salts or bubble bath and fill your tub with suds. Light a few candles and music, extend your soaped up leg, and invite your man in to join you to make things even steamier.

Create your own mini-bar. Think about every time you’ve been charged $7 for a miniature sleeve of Pringles from a hotel, and now stock your own fridge accordingly — but for way cheaper. Hit your local CVS or 7-Eleven and raid the candy and nut section for items like chocolate covered macadamia nuts or a small box of Oreos. Then hit the liquor store and reach behind the counter for some Thelma and Louise-style minis of Jack and Absolut. Whip up your own room-service menu. Think back to your last vacation or business trip: The things that taste so great first thing in the morning or late at night are usually simple to make with what you have at home: French toast, pasta marinara, a cheeseburger, Continental breakfast. Do it outside of the bed. Channel your inner Vegas by pretending this is a first encounter for you and your boyf, and get your dirty on by doing it bent over furniture, in the tub, or in front of a mirror. What happens at home, stays at home.
